Advanced Learning Environments in a Historic Setting

The ground floor

The hall of Palazzo Del Torso is used for welcoming the participants of CISM courses and leads to the monumental staircase of the building.

The hall also faces the small internal courtyard, with an ancient well parapet in the centre, which leads to the lecture room of the ground floor. This room can accommodate up to 65 people. It is an air conditioned room, equipped with wireless microphones, Wi-Fi, an interactive whiteboard and a chalkboard.

The first floor

The first floor houses some of the building’s main lecture and meeting rooms, combining historical elegance with modern facilities.

The main lecture hall, featuring a ceiling entirely adorned with frescoes by Andrea Urbani, can accommodate up to 45 people.
The room is fully air-conditioned and equipped with Wi-Fi, high-quality ambient microphones, an auto-tracking camera system, and two large blackboards, ensuring a comfortable and technologically advanced environment for lectures and events.

The Fireplace Room, distinguished by its exposed wooden beams and wood-paneled walls decorated with the coats of arms of Friuli’s noble families, accommodates up to 18 people. Primarily used for workshops and meetings, it is equipped with a large widescreen display, which can also be moved to the Mirrors Room when needed.

The Mirrors Room, designed in 1851 by architect Andrea Scala and embellished with frescoes in the central medallion of the ceiling, serves as an elegant reception area for both the Main Lecture Hall and the Fireplace Room.

The Guest House

CISM guests can lodge at its guest house: 16 rooms (7 single and 9 double rooms) all with bathroom inside and Wi-Fi connection.
